    Profile

Eddie has been forecasting weather in West Tennessee, West Kentucky and North Mississippi since 1977.  You can also hear Eddie’s weather forecasts on radio stations in West and Middle Tennessee Monday through Friday.

Eddie has been a Member of the American Meteorological Society since 1997. He was a television meteorologist in the Jackson, TN market from 1999-2005 and received the Jackson Sun Readers' Choice Award for Best Local TV Personality for 2005 and 2006.

He received the AMS Seal of Approval for Weathercasting in 2003. In July 2005,  Eddie earned the AMS’s Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) designation.  He was the third meteorologist in Tennessee to earn the new designation and the 62nd in the entire country. The AMS grants the CBM designation to broadcast meteorologists who meet established criteria for scientific competence and effective communication skills in their weather presentations. The CBM is a new program, launched in January 2005 as an upgrade to the Society's Seal of Approval program.

Eddie is a cooperative weather observer for the National Weather Service, member of the Citizen Weather Observer Program (CWOP) and a SKYWARN storm spotter.

He is married with two children and a grandson and enjoys golf and reading in his free time.
