It was a record setting July in Jackson.  The average temperature for July 2009 at the McKellar-Sipes Regional Airport was 75.6º. This was 4.7º below the average and the coolest July ever recorded in Jackson.  The previous record was 75.7º in 1967. Records go back to 1948. The highest temperature was 94º on the 15th and the lowest was 55º on 19th.  The average high was 85.3º and the average low was 66.0º.
